Castors come in two main mounting configurations: top plate and bolthole.
Top plate-mount castors are the most robust option and the preferred choice in medium to heavy industrial settings. Their construction consists of a flat metal platform at the top of the castor, which is mounted to a level surface, such as a cart or a trolley, using nuts and bolts. The flat metal plate provides excellent stability and durability, making it a reliable choice for heavy-dututyy applications. Bolt hole castors are usually found in light-duty applications such as home and office furnitureTop Plate Swivel Castors
This castor style has four hole fixing points on the mounting plate and can swivel 360 degrees. Options for brakes and directional locks are available.

Top Plate Fixed Castors
Fixed castors are rigid and do not rotate. They are ideal for heavy-duty applications as they typically hold more weight than similarly sized swivel castors. As fixed castors only move in one direction, they are often used with swivel castors, facilitating the vehicle’s directional change.

Bolt Hole Castors
Bolt-hole castors are a cost-effective option. They are attached using a single standard hexagon socket bolt threaded through the central hole in the 360-degree swivel head. They are typically used in light-duty and transport equipment applications. Brake options are available.
